Dear Mr. Ross:

Now that every season of I Love Lucy has been released on DVD, fans are craving more
from the comic legacy of Lucille Ball.  The Lucy Show is the next logical choice to be
released.  This pop classic from the 60’s television era has been long-awaited by fans.

Thank you very much for including “Lucy, The Gun Moll” episode on The
Untouchables DVD box set.  We would really like to purchase season sets of The Lucy
Show.  Unfortunately, all that is available are poor quality DVDs released from public
domain episodes. It is interesting to note that stores have continued to stock this limited
number of episodes over and over again for the last 15 years. Does that not indicate a
market for the series?

Seasons 1 and 2 of The Lucy Show are essentially an extension of I Love Lucy.  In these
seasons, viewers will be able to experience the same hilarious chemistry that the legendary
comedy team of Vivian Vance and Lucille Ball brought to I Love Lucy.  The same excellent
production values, outstanding writing and acting are also evident in these early seasons.
It is also noteworthy that in the later seasons, Lucille Ball was the first woman to portray a
single woman living on her own in the modern world – several years before That Girl and
The Mary Tyler Moore Show.

CBS has been willing to take a chance on DVD sets of Love, American Style, Gomer Pyle,
U.S.M.C. and The Untouchables. We urge you to please take a chance on The Lucy Show.  
The Lucy Show was in the top ten every season, with Lucy winning an Emmy in each of the
final 2 seasons.   With so many wonderful guest stars in the later seasons, it also has definite
crossover appeal.  I am confident there are many people out there just like me who can't wait
to begin purchasing all 6 seasons of The Lucy Show.
