It has been slightly over a year since we created this site to help get the word out about The Lucy Show, a series which has long been absent from our DVD shelves. We would like to personally thank all of the fans who have written and called CBS requesting the release of this classic show. We would also like to thank CBS for listening to all the fans. The first season will be released in late July. Please everyone go out and support The Lucy Show Season 1 on DVD as soon as it is released, so that we may soon all enjoy The Lucy Show Season 2 in gorgeous COLOR!!
September 23, 2008: The writing and phone calls from site visitors to CBS are definitely making an impact! Just today, tvshowsondvd.com posted a news article stating that fans have been getting return phone calls from CBS DVD letting them know they can expect The Lucy Show Season 1 on DVD around late spring of 2009. I cannot stress enough the importance of supporting this title if and when fans see a commercial release. The industry source has also informed me that CBS had many reservations about releasing this classic show to begin with due to fears of it not being profitable. If fans refuse to purchase this title solely based on a few music substitutions, the title will surely be deemed unprofitable.

It's time to take action … The Lucy Show needs your help! As you may know, the last episodes of I Love Lucy were released in March of 2007. Since then, there has been much anticipation in hopes of one day being able to purchase the classic followup series starring Lucille Ball and Vivian Vance on DVD. Unfortunately, CBS has yet to show any signs of releasing The Lucy Show. We need to get the word out and demonstrate to CBS/Paramount that there is a very strong fan base for The Lucy Show.
The most important action you can take is to send letters to CBS requesting the release of this entertaining yet buried treasure. Your letters indicating your intent to purchase The Lucy Show will make CBS aware of just how profitable a DVD release could be. Please also make yourself heard via a voice message, tvshowsondvd.com and the various message boards on the internet.
If you would like an idea of what you might want to say to CBS, here is a letter to get you started. However, if at all possible, please try to compose your own thoughts. CBS may quite possibly stop reading them if they all appear to be the same.
